Member Golf at Lost City
The best part of golf at Lost City is you can play every day and never have to arrange a game or book a tee time. Many members (both women and men) have established groups of similar-handicap players who play on a set day and time each week. It’s easy to join these groups - just ask the group leader. Our golf pros can help with finding the right groups for you to play in. When there are no scheduled events or member groups you just show up and our starters get you playing right away. There are no tee times at Lost City.
Tuesdays are reserved for women for both 9 hole or 18 hole events. Foursomes are organized based on handicap with a variety of formats so all skill levels can play and compete. Wednesdays are for the men, also organized by handicap and varied formats.
Every Friday afternoon is TGIF, a 9 hole modified scramble competition for couples or any foursome combination. Members create their own group or the pro shop will match up players. A team handicap is calculated; so all teams compete on a level playing field. Although the focus is more just for fun than winning. Cocktails and a buffet dinner follow TGIF & Skins.
CanAm is a favorite February event between the Canadian and American members with a 3 day tournament Consisting of two days of matches between the women and two days of matches between the men culminating with the third day as a mixed couple (but not spouses) matches. The competition is lively but it's really all about national pride and friendship. At the final dinner all attendees (close to 200) sing both National Anthems, with many knowing all the words to both.
Member Guest events are always anticipated opportunities to showcase our beautiful course and facility to friends and family. The women host a 9 hole event and also an 18 hole event on different days followed by a luncheon where the chef pulls out all the stops to please even the most discerning palette. The men's Member Guest event is a three day tournament consisting of a two-man team quota points competition based on handicaps. The golf is certainly challenging, and there is plenty of opportunity to quench your thirst and sate your appetite too.
We also run our Club Championships for Men, Women, Senior Men, and Mixed couple in February and March.
Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day Golf Events are very popular mixed foursome tournaments to celebrate the holidays and give us an excuse for throwing a big barbecue of burgers, dogs, brats and ribs with all the yummy sides and desserts following the golf game.
